History
HarryPotterTrio.com was born on May 1, 2006. The history of HTP goes back for
nearly three years of dedication and hard work.
Magical Three was created by Tara on July 5, 2004. It's first
home was under Hidden-Beneath.org, a personal domain owned by Tess. Tara
envisioned a fansite purely based on the visitors need and lover for Harry
Potter and his two best friends. However, Tara realized that this might be too
much work for one person so she hired two co-webmasters, Liz and Amanda. The
three continued to build Magical Three into a wonderful site. A few months
later, on November 17, 2004, Tara retired as Owner of Magical Three, making Liz
and Amanda the owners. When informed that Hidden-Beneath.org would soon be
closing, Amanda and Liz set out to find a new home for Magical Three. Together
they decided upon Floo-Powder.org, a Harry Potter fansite owned by Sarala. The
site was becoming more popular and taking much more bandwidth and web space than
expected. It was during this time that the Magical Three High-Quality Gallery
was created by Amanda and Liz with plenty help from the webmaster of
LohanOnline.com. Soon
later Liz became very busy and decided that it was time to leave Magical Three.
On February 1, 2005, Amanda became the owner of Magical Three.
For months, Amanda worked entirely on Magical Three by
herself and the number of visitors kept growing. On March 13, 2005, Claire of
RupertOnline.net (now
named RupertGrint.net)
pushed Magical Three even further. Claire offered to be the host of Magical
Three and it was then Amanda decided to create a domain,
MagicalThree.com.
It never stopped growing from here on.
MagicalThree.com
reached its peak. With nearly 31,100 unique visitors and using over 70GB of
bandwidth in one month.
MagicalThree.com became the biggest and best source for the Harry Potter
Trio. Including affiliations with the biggest sites in the Harry Potter world,
RupertGrint.net,
Emma-Watson.net,
Dan-Radcliffe.net,
and EmmaWatson.us.
On June 13, 2005,
MagicalThree.com's
biggest feature, the
Magical Three TV Station opened. One of the most talented video editors,
Linda, joined the
MagicalThree.com Staff. Amanda decided that Linda deserved to own her own
site and bought a domain for Linda and her videos. As of today, Linda is famous
in the video editing world and the TV Station continues to expose her talent.
The Magical Three TV
Station brings many new visitors to the site.
After the release of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,
Amanda decided that it was time for change. This is when she renamed
MagicalThree.com to
HarryPotterTrio.com
to attract more visitors and be easily searched. Amanda had one problem,
HarryPotterTrio.com would not have a home. Searching for over a month, Amanda
asked different webmasters if they could host the site, but there was no luck.
In March of 2006, Amanda found the perfect home,
BeyondPotter.com. With
fresh new content and features, Amanda opened
HarryPotterTrio.com
on May 1, 2006.
At the end of May of 2007, Amanda was contacted by a
representative from
TheFanCarpet.com, a growing network of high quality fansites. Fansites that
include Kirsten-Dunst.org,
Hayden-Panettiere.com, and much more. On May 29, 2007, Amanda moved
HarryPotterTrio.com
to a new server and joined
TheFanCarpet.com
network.
The release of Harry Potter and the Order of the
Phoenix raised HarryPotterTrio.com's statistics even higher! With more than
90,000 unique visitors and using over 500 GB of bandwidth in July,
HarryPotterTrio.com grew even bigger. With links from some of the biggest Harry
Potter fansites out there, the website continues to grow.
